Sam's Pink

When folks gift me with tubers, I often grow them for a year to evaluate them for vigor, stem length, vase life, color and productivity. Sadly, many do not make the grade to be included into my cutting collection. Sam’s Pink ticked every box for me and has grown for several years in my gardens as I’ve increased her tuber stock.

Her 3” blooms are a lovely shade of solid pink and her slightly fringed petals soften her edges just a bit. She’s a prolific, strong stemmed, and long lasting cut flower. She came to me unlabelled and so her true identity is still a bit of a mystery, but the closest I can guess is Sweet Love, though she’s slightly shorter and a smaller bloom size.

If you like pink and don’t mind the uncertainty of her name, she’s a great addition!
