FAQs

Do you grow all the flowers and plants that you sell?

Yes! Long ago I learned that if I wanted the freedom to work with pesticide free flowers, in all the colors and varieties I dreamed of, I’d have to grow them. I love the whole process: from hunting down the fragrant ‘lost’ varieties of seed, to waiting rather impatiently for them to germinate, to seeing them bloom. As we expand our offerings, and because space is at a premium, some materials are bought in as plugs and grown on. Click on the Gallery page to see some of what we grow.

Can I order flowers from you?

Yes! If, during the growing months of May-October, you need special occasion bouquets (no vase) or arrangements (done in a vase), or wish to purchase buckets of flowers to do DIY events, just call / text Carol (401.632.2910) to place an order. Payment is cash or card, payable at pick up, Monday- Saturday. More info on the Floral Options page. At this time delivery is not offered.

Do you do supply flowers for events or weddings?

We love to help you celebrate life’s events with flowers and can accomodate some of them (think bridal / baby shower /anniversary party) but not all of them, so for now, weddings are not something we do.

Do you teach classes or host workshops?

Currently, dahlia dividing workshops are offered in the Fall. Additional classes and workshops are being formulated. Contact us for more info and sign up for our emails because we announce them there. Email us with suggestions of what you’d like us to host.

Do you make Christmas pieces?

Yes! Custom wreaths, swags, boxwood trees, porch pots, centerpieces and more are all in our line up of offerings and most are available the first weekend in December. Using a selection of locally harvested evergreens, pods, cones and berries means our pieces stay fresh and beautiful long into the New Year. You can check out some of our wares on the Gallery page and the Winter page. We suggest you follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see more of our work, and invite you to visit us during our Christmas season.

May I come visit?

Yes! Since The Giving Garden is a very small neighborhood operation, we like to be considerate of our neighbors. We have managed to be ‘open’ on select days for visitors. We post updates on Facebook and Instagram once we get closer to Spring.
